Program Overview
The home electrification program is entirely free to eligible Montgomery County homeowners. Projects are designed to make the switch from natural gas and electrify your home heating, water heating, and cooking. Making the switch will help reduce emissions, increase your comfort and indoor air quality.
Eligible Services
- Electric Air Source Heat Pump
- Electric Heat Pump Water Heater
- Electric Heat Pump Clothes Dryer
- Electric Induction Stove
- Programmable Thermostat
Services not considered: Equipment Replacement with Gas
Program Eligibility
- Natural gas/oil HVAC equipment or appliances in home
- Be a Montgomery County Homeowner. Home must be the primary residence of applicant(s) and applicant(s) must have lived in the home for a minimum of one year prior to applying, and plan on living in the home for a minimum of two years after work is completed.
- Have current homeowners’ insurance
- Low to Moderate Income (See Table for Income Guidelines)
