Home Accessibility Rehabilitation Program

The Home Accessibility Rehabilitation Program (HARP) is a FREE program through the Department of Housing and Community Affairs, administered by Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland. The goal of this program is to provide owner occupied homes with accessibility modifications.
 

Potential Services

Eligible Services:

Grab bar installation

Stair lift installation

Tub cut or Walk in shower conversion

Indoor/outdoor railing installation

Ramp installation


Services not considered: Non-accessibility items
 

Qualifications

  • Be a current resident of Montgomery County
  • Own and occupy the home where services are requested
  • At least one home occupant over the age of 65 and/or has a physical disability
  • Have current homeowners insurance
  • Be income qualified, see below
