Montgomery County Homeowner Energy Efficiency Program
The Montgomery County Homeowner Energy Efficiency Program (MCEEP) is a FREE program through the Montgomery County Department of Housing and Community Affairs, administered by Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland aimed at reducing home energy usage for qualified Washington Gas customers.
Potential Services:
In order to qualify for energy efficiency services, appliances must meet the age requirement of 10 years or older. Potential services include:

Qualifications:
To be eligible, one must:
- Be a current resident of Montgomery County
- Own and occupy the home where services are requested
- Be a Washington Gas customer
- Appliances must be 10 years or older to qualify for replacement
- Meet household gross income requirements (see income table)

With your application, you must also submit the following:
- Photo ID for all household members 18 years and older
- Proof of last 30 days’ GROSS income for all household members 18 years and older (Bank statements are not accepted)
- Most current Electric Bill
- Most current Washington Gas Heating Bill if heating source is not electric
